Enter the heart of the Tuscan countryside, at a slow pace, discovering this ancient road and the other paths that intertwine in this territory, such as the Via Lauretana, from Siena to Cortona, towards Loreto, along the postcard landscapes of the Crete Senesi and the Valdichiana.
The Circuit of Bike Friendly Wineries
From the partnership between the Strade di Siena and the Movimento Turismo del Vino Toscana, was born the first network of wineries that offer specific services designed specifically for the reception of bike tourists.
Every winery associated with Movimento Turismo del Vino deserve to be visited: they range between small family farms to historical buildings, up to masterpieces signed by great contemporary architects, all of them expressing the same love for the territory and for the most noble fruit of the earth: grape. Visiting them by bike is even more exciting.
Horseback
The horse, a symbolic animal of the Sienese area, proves to be a special companion to accompany the visitor through the lands of Siena and Tuscany. The passage through these territories is transformed into a saddle becoming a suggestive and unrepeatable experience, which gives a unique point of view to those who explore this wonderful territory.
There are many riding schools in Siena and its surroundings that organize walks and trekking on horseback, through bridleways and historical itineraries such as the famous Via Francigena and Lauretana.
